What does a landscape construction project involve?

Most projects run through excavation and site preparation, retaining walls and structural work, drainage, paving and pathways, then turf, planting and a full clean-up at handover. Design and plans first

Projects start with digital landscape plans and design concepts, so you can see the space before anything is built. The plan settles the levels, the materials and the planting palette, and it becomes the document the quote and the build follow.

Site preparation and structural work

The heavy stage comes first. Excavation and site preparation, then the structure that holds the landscape together: retaining walls in steel, timber or polymer sleepers, garden edging, and drainage such as spoon drains and stormwater connections so water goes where it should. On our St Johns Court project in Robina this meant cutting a sloping site into three usable levels on a triple tier steel retaining system.

Paving, turf and planting

With the structure in, the surfaces go down. Paving, pathways and stepping stones, then turf and the planting that gives the landscape its character, from coastal palettes to structured hedging. This is the stage where the yard changes fastest.

Handover

The job ends with a full clean-up and a walk-through with Jess. Every scrap of green waste and building material leaves with the crew, and many clients move straight onto a maintenance schedule so the new landscape stays at its best.
