What is the difference between landscape construction and landscape design?
Landscape design is the plan: digital landscape plans and design concepts that let you see the space before anything is built. Landscape construction is the build itself: excavation, retaining walls, drainage, paving, turf and planting through to handover. Golden Triangle Landscaping does both, so there is no gap between the drawing and the dirt.
What landscape design covers
Design comes first. Jess walks the property, listens to what you want the space to do, then prepares digital landscape plans and design concepts so you can see the layout, the materials and the planting palette before anything gets dug up. Design covers both hardscape, the built structure such as retaining, paving and decking, and softscape, everything that grows: turf, garden beds and planting.
What landscape construction covers
Construction is the build that follows the plan. Most projects run through excavation and site preparation, retaining walls and structural work, drainage, paving and pathways, then turf, planting and a full clean-up at handover. Read the full breakdown on what a landscape construction project involves.
Do I need a design before construction starts?
Not always. Smaller jobs can go straight to a fixed quote. Larger renovations usually start with a digital landscape plan so you know exactly what you are getting before anything is built, and the plan becomes the document the quote and the build follow.
How Golden Triangle Landscaping runs both under one roof
The same team handles the plan and the build, so there is no handover between a separate designer and a separate contractor, and no gap between what was drawn and what gets built. See the Landscape Construction service page for real jobs, or send an enquiry to start with a design conversation.
